I ordered this book to supplement my Pharmacology nursing book and i was not disappointed. I gave it 4/5 due to it being vague/broad. I wanted something that listed the drugs and went in depth on the drug, side effects, etc. however this book focused more on the drug class and then listed the drugs listed in that class. So it’s very broad. However, it worked for me. I simply took what was in my nursing book and added it to this book and created one heck of a study guide for my exams. Before this book my average in Pharmacology was 75% and after studying this book and it’s content I passed the class with a 90%. Only used this book and my issues pharmacology book. I recommend it for anyone struggling in pharmacology. Just note it’s very broad. So you’re going to need to write in it to add notes or write notes along with it.
Nursing student here. I wish I would have gotten this at the beginning of the semester. It literally was more useful than my $200 required text book, which made me happy/angry all at the same time. I definitely recommend this to everyone. Cuts out the crap and takes you straight to the point, in simple terms.
I am using this for my students in a basic pharmacology course. When I purchased the delivered price was at $20, an incredible value. The Nursing Made Incredibly Easy series breaks concepts into plain English and explains thoroughly. This book is no exception. There is no bleed through of print on the quality of paper used, as some pharmacology texts have. I can recommend this text for entry level preparation courses.
Really helped me break down drugs for class better than professors and class book. Would recommend and don't wait till half way through a semester. Just get it and you'll be much happier about pharmacology class.
The book will do the job for nursing school, however I thought I bought this book NEW. I paid for a NEW book with amazon prime and ended up with a ripped book that’s bent in some areas. Thanks amazon.
If you're a nursing student you know nursing school pretty much blows and that all answers are the same and none are correct am I right!? Medicines are my major weakness and I wanted something to help me be able to get the golden nuggets about all of these medications! So helpful and I ended up getting an 86 on my exam! Not too shabby!
Love the straightforward simplicity of the medications, action and the patient teaching! It comes with the nursing process (ADPIE) for each class of drug and drug themselves. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND IT
I bought this instead of the textbook for college, and I'm glad I did. Same information, but this student saved $200 by doing it this way.
